Our dynamic approach to training encourages participation, insights and personal growth. Conflict Coaching

Sometimes we need help thinking through a difficult relationship, or preparing for a thorny discussion. Confidential coaching sessions help people understand these challenges and develop skills and strategies to respond more effectively. In other cases, we provide coaching for individual’s specific skill development needs. (see: Case in Point examples)

Sample Courses

Negotiation Skills

This two-day workshop provides a thorough training in negotiation skills. Interactive exercises and simulations allow participants to learn how people make decisions in negotiation, develop skills in persuading, craft agreements that people will carry out, develop effective strategies for dealing with difficult negotiators, and apply this learning to reach their goals.

Facilitation and Group Consensus Building

In this core facilitation skills workshop, participants master the techniques and skills necessary to professionally structure, facilitate and build consensus within meetings, conferences and multiparty decision-making groups. Effective group collaboration is a key 21st-century skill set.

When Tempers Flare

Just about everyone loses their temper at some point. An angry outburst can damage working relationships and waste valuable time.  There are tools we can practice to keep difficult emotions from derailing discussions.  In this workshop, you will learn to identify emotional hi-jacking and techniques to calm strong emotions, whether it is your own anger or someone else’s.

Mediation Skills and Process Training

This workshop introduces participants to the concept of mediation, and provides them with hands-on skills development in a four stage process approach and the communication skills essential to being an effective mediator.

Following brief introductions to theory, exercises are used to demonstrate the concepts essential to process understanding.  Participants will practice mediation process skills in small groups.  Experienced mediators will provide coaching and feedback during role plays.  This has proven to be essential to learning the new set of skills required in the mediation process.   Videos, simulations and relevant case studies provide participants with additional skills development practice.
